What not to Pack?
When moving to another country or State you should not only know what to pack but also what not to pack. You only need to use your common sense while deciding on what items not to pack.
Hazardous Materials
Your movers will offer you tips on those items that should not be packed. In accordance with these tips and do’s and don’ts, you must not pack hazardous materials. Some of the materials might include aerosols, paints, fertilizers, and various other types of inflammable materials. You must be doubly careful about the products that are not to be packed, if you are moving to other locations by way of flights or ships. There are quite a few items that are listed under the hazardous materials category and more often than not, your moving company will provide you with the list.
Perishable and Frozen Goods
Both are a strict No. Perishable items cover a range of products including, food, plants and for that matter even animals. Typically, all products that can perish, die, or spoil during the course of the transportation should not be packed. International moving companies are very particular about not packing such items. These companies are liable for all the goods that they bring into a particular country, hence they are very cautious.
Even frozen goods are to be strictly avoided and you must be careful to remove these products from the refrigerator or the freezer that you are packing for transportation.
